Elevate your pottery studio with these professional grade, high fire ceramic decals. These inglaze decals fuse seamlessly into your glaze layer during standard low-fire or mid-range cycles. Unlike traditional low-fire overglaze decals, these melt into the glaze resulting in a perfectly smooth, flush, glossy finish with zero raised edges. Decals are lead-free and food safe.

PLEASE NOTE: These are professional decals that require a pottery kiln to fire. They can not be fired in a kitchen oven!

We use a CMYK printing process, which means there is no white toner. The white in the designs comes from the white background of the pottery glaze.

Product Features

Temperature Range:
1742 - 2282 degrees Fahrenheit. Fires beautifully between cone 04 and cone 6. You can "piggyback" decal firing on common cone 04 bisque and cone 6 glaze firings, great for potters using shared studio or kiln space.

Finish:
Glossy, sharp, professional inglaze finish that is completely embedded into the glaze layer, no halo or raised edges.

Durability:
Extremely durable, 100% scratch resistant, dishwasher & microwave safe.

Safety:
Heavy-metal free, lead-free & food safe. Perfect for functional dinnerware, mugs and bowls.

Applicable Surfaces:
Can be used with low-fire or mid-fire glazes. Best on white or light colored glazes. NOTE: These decals do not work well with some clear glazes.

Process:
We use a CMYK printing process, which means there is no white toner. The white in the designs comes from the white background of the pottery glaze.

These decals are designed to placed on pottery that has already been glazed fired.

1) Cut out desired decal.
2) Soak in room temperature or lukewarm water for 20 - 30 seconds. Don't force decals, when ready, decals will easily slide off backing paper.
3) Wet surface area of pottery where decal is going to be placed. Place decal on surface of pottery and gently slide the backing paper from underneath the decal.
4) Now gently work the water and air out from under the decal with a squeegee or soft cloth. Be gentle, the decal is delicate at this point. Work from the center to the outer edges.
5) Let dry for a minimum of 4-6 hours.
6) Kiln fire: Inglaze decals need to reach the glost temperature where the glaze softens so the decal pigments can sink in. We have found the best results at a standard cone 04 firing for low fire glazes, and a standard cone 6 firing for mid-range glazes. Fire at medium or slow speed. It's always best to run some test pieces before running a kiln load.
